EUROSIGNS 2

EUROSIGNS 2 – is a Leonardo da Vinci project, funded by the EU and involves partners from the Czech Republic, Austria, Ireland, Finland and Great Britain.

EUROSIGNS 2 aims to increase awareness of sign language communication in Europe. It is an educational DVD to assist in international communication for Deaf people and sign language users. The products include an interactive double DVD in 4 sign languages – Austrian, British, Finnish and Irish Sign languages, which includes a European Sign language dictionary, a guide for living abroad targeted at foreign Deaf job seekers, students and tourists. The DVD has been especially developed for sign language interpreters, vocational teachers for Deaf people and the professional community and students in various working sectors. Of course any one wishing to learn the fundamentals of sign language will also find the DVD useful.

Awards

The project was recognised with the European Award for Languages in 2007.
