iPhone App for healthcare professionals  attending to Deaf patients

A new app for healthcare professionals who provide services for Deaf clients and patients will be launched inFebruary 2013.

The MEDISIGNS App has been developed by Interesource Group (Ireland) Limited in which the Centre for Deaf Studies, Trinity College Dublin is a partner along with experts from University of Nicosia, Cyprus, the Foundation for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Lodz, Poland, Stockholm University, Sweden and Heriot-Watt University, Scotland

One of the core goals of the MEDISIGNS project is the creation of CPD training in a blended learning environment for interpreters/medical staff and Deaf people as well as developing tools, such as the App, to improve access to healthcare through improved communications.
